قررت اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب في سوريا، يوم السبت، أن أول انتخابات برلمانية تُجرى في ظل الإدارة الإسلامية الجديدة والمقررة في سبتمبر/أيلول المقبل، لن تشمل محافظات السويداء والحسكة والرقة، مبررة القرار بدواعٍ أمنية
ويأتي هذا الإعلان بعد أسابيع من اشتباكات دامية شهدتها محافظة السويداء في يوليو/تموز، أسفرت عن مقتل مئات الأشخاص جراء مواجهات بين مقاتلين دروز وعشائر سنية وقوات حكومية، في ظل توترات مزمنة تتعلق بالنزاعات على الأراضي والموارد
وأوضح المتحدث باسم اللجنة العليا نوار نجمة، أن تأجيل الانتخابات في هذه المحافظات يهدف إلى ضمان إجراء العملية في بيئة آمنة وتحت سيطرة الدولة على الدوائر الرسمية، مشيرًا إلى أن المقاعد المخصصة لها ستبقى محفوظة إلى حين توافر الظروف الملائمة
لكن القرار قوبل برفض واسع في محافظة الرقة، حيث اعتبرت فعاليات مدنية وسياسية أن استبعاد المحافظة من التصويت يتعارض مع المرسوم التشريعي رقم 143 لعام 2025 والإعلان الدستوري، ويشكل انتهاكًا لحق السكان في التمثيل النيابي والمشاركة في صياغة القوانين وإقرار الموازنة والمعاهدات
ورأى المحتجون أن افتتاح مجلس الشعب دون تمثيل الرقة يكرّس واقع خروجها عن وحدة التراب السوري، ويتماشى مع سياسة التهميش المتعمد لغياب أي جهة رسمية أو محافظ يمثل أبناء المحافظة حتى الآن
وطالب المحتجون اللجنة العليا بالتراجع عن قرارها وفتح مراكز اقتراع بديلة في دمشق، أو في محافظات مجاورة، أو حتى في مناطق سيطرة المعارضة كتل أبيض ومعدان، مؤكدين أن تعطيل حقهم في الانتخاب يمسّ بالمساواة والوحدة الوطنية

At this time I am going away to do my breakfast,
