دعت كارلا كينتانا، رئيسة المؤسسة المستقلة المعنية بالمفقودين في سوريا، المجتمع الدولي إلى تقديم دعم فعلي وواسع للسلطات السورية، سواء في بناء البنية التحتية اللازمة للتعامل مع ملف المفقودين أو في تدريب الكوادر المحلية بالشكل الذي يسمح لها مستقبلًا بإدارة هذا الملف المعقد ذاتيًا ومن دون الاعتماد المستمر على الجهود الخارجية
وأكدت كينتانا أن عملية البحث عن المفقودين ليست مهمة بسيطة ولا يمكن إنجازها بسرعة، بل هي مسار طويل يستغرق وقتًا ويتطلب تجهيزات متقدمة وخبرة متخصصة، وشددت على أن هذا الملف لا يتعلّق بمجرد أرقام أو إحصاءات، بل يرتبط مباشرة بآلاف العائلات السورية التي ما تزال تنتظر منذ سنوات بفارغ الصبر أي معلومة تكشف مصير أحبائها، مشيرة إلى أن هذه العائلات تتطلع إلى اليوم الذي تتمكن فيه من معرفة الحقيقة وإغلاق فصل مؤلم من حياتها، ودفن ذويها بطريقة تليق بإنسانيتهم، بما يسمح لها بالانتقال نحو مرحلة التعافي والعدالة
وفي سياق متصل، أعلنت الهيئة في السادس من الشهر الجاري عن توقيع إعلان مبادئ للتعاون المشترك مع ثلاث منظمات دولية تُعد من الجهات الأساسية العاملة في مجال البحث عن المفقودين والمختفين قسرًا
ويهدف هذا الإعلان إلى تعزيز التكامل بين الجهات الموقعة وتنسيق العمل بطريقة منهجية تقلل الازدواجية وتزيد من فعالية الجهود المبذولة في هذا الملف
وقد وقع الإعلان كل من اللجنة الدولية لشؤون المفقودين، واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر، والمؤسسة المستقلة المعنية بالمفقودين في سوريا، وذلك في إطار رؤية مشتركة تهدف إلى بناء تعاون متكامل يُسهم في تحسين جميع المراحل المرتبطة بعمليات البحث، سواء من حيث جمع البيانات أو تحليلها أو التواصل مع عائلات المفقودين أو إدارة الإجراءات الفنية واللوجستية، ويأتي توقيع إعلان المبادئ هذا كخطوة إضافية لتعزيز الشفافية والشمولية والفعالية في التعامل مع أحد أكثر الملفات الإنسانية حساسية وتعقيدًا في سوريا، وسط آمال واسعة بأن يسهم هذا التعاون الدولي في تسريع الكشف عن مصير آلاف الأشخاص الذين اختفوا خلال سنوات النزاع
