أعلن رئيس مجلس التعليم العالي التركي، أرول أوزوار، عن مشروع أكاديمي جديد يهدف إلى توطيد التعاون بين سوريا وتركيا، يتمثل في تأسيس “جامعة الصداقة التركية السورية” في العاصمة دمشق خلال الفترة القريبة المقبلة، في خطوة وُصفت بأنها محورية لتعزيز العلاقات التعليمية والبحثية بين البلدين
وبحسب ما نقلته وكالة الأناضول، أوضح أوزوار في كلمة له خلال افتتاح العام الدراسي 2025–2026 في جامعة البحر الأسود التقنية بولاية طرابزون شمالي تركيا، أن الاتفاقية الخاصة بإنشاء الجامعة ستُوقَّع قريبًا في دمشق، مشيرًا إلى وجود خطط لافتتاح فرع ثانٍ في مدينة حلب بمساهمة جامعة البحر الأسود التقنية في مراحل التأسيس وتقديم الدعم الأكاديمي
وأكد أوزوار أن المشروع يأتي في إطار توسيع مجالات التعاون الأكاديمي بين الجامعات السورية والتركية، وتعزيز تبادل الخبرات العلمية والبحثية، إضافة إلى تطوير برامج تعليمية مشتركة تسهم في بناء جسور معرفية جديدة بين مؤسسات التعليم العالي في البلدين
يأتي هذا الإعلان استكمالًا لاتفاقية التعاون العلمي والبحثي التي وُقّعت في 15 أيار الماضي بين وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي السوري مروان الحلبي ورئيس مجلس التعليم العالي التركي أرول أوزوار، والتي شملت التعاون في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي وتبادل البرامج الأكاديمية وتطوير الرؤى المستقبلية لإنشاء جامعة مشتركة
