نشرت السفارة الأمريكية في دمشق عبر حسابها الرسمي في تيوتر اليوم الأربعاء ، بيانًا أعلنت فيه عن ترحيبها وسرورها بقرار محكمة باريس القضائية بتوجيه الاتهام إلى ثلاثة من كبار مسؤولي النظام السوري بتهمة التواطؤ المزعوم في جرائم ضد الإنسانية وجرائم حرب في قضية الدباغ، ووصفت القرار بالتاريخي.
وأضاف البيان أنّ قرار المحكمة خطوة واعدة لتحقيق العدالة لضحايا الجهاز الأمني الوحشي للنظام، حسب وصفها.
في ذات السياق، طالبت السفارة في بيانها بمحاسبة كلّ من علي مملوك وجميل حسن وعبد السلام محمود عن أي دور لهم في مقتل واختفاء السوريين.
