ودعا ستانو المجتمع الدولي لمضاعفة الجهود للوصول إلى حلّ سياسي شامل ودائم في سوريا حيث قال “لا نزال نؤمن بضرورة مضاعفة المجتمع الدولي جهوده للتوصل إلى حلّ سياسيّ شامل ودائم في سوريا بما يتفق مع قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة”.
الجدير بالذكر أنّ الاتحاد الأوروبي دعا مرارًا وتكرارًا إلى ضرورة الوصول إلى حلّ سياسيّ في سوريا بشكل يضمن تطبيق كافّة بنود قرارات مجلس الأمن.
