أعربت وزارة الخارجية السورية، عن تقديرها للدول التي دعمت القرار الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة والداعي إلى انسحاب إسرائيل من الجولان السوري المحتل، وتأكيدًا لمكانة القضية على المستوى الدولي
وقالت الخارجية في بيانها إن سوريا “تتقدم بالشكر العميق” للدول التي أيدت القرار، ولا سيما تلك التي غيّرت موقفها هذا العام، مشيرة إلى الزيادة الكبيرة في عدد الأصوات المؤيدة، التي ارتفعت من 97 دولة في العام الماضي إلى 123 دولة في التصويت الجديد، كما ثمّنت دمشق الدور المصري في تقديم مشروع القرار إلى الجمعية العامة
وحصل قرار “الجولان السوري” على تأييد واسع داخل الأمم المتحدة، حيث صوّتت لصالحه 123 دولة، بينما عارضته 7 دول فقط، وامتنع 41 وفدًا عن التصويت، وانضمت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل إلى عدد محدود من الدول الصغيرة في معارضة القرار
من جهته، هاجم سفير إسرائيل لدى الأمم المتحدة، داني دانون، نتيجة التصويت، واعتبرها دليلًا على انفصال الجمعية العامة عن الواقع، مؤكدًا أن إسرائيل لن تتراجع عن سيطرتها على الجولان، وقال عبر حسابه في منصة “إكس” : لن نعود إلى حدود 1967، ولن نتخلى عن الجولان، لا الآن ولا في المستقبل
وتُعد مرتفعات الجولان منطقة استراتيجية استولت عليها إسرائيل خلال حرب عام 1967، ثم أعلنت ضمّها من طرف واحد عام 1981، وهو إجراء لم يعترف به المجتمع الدولي، وعلى الرغم من الإجماع العالمي الرافض للضم، فقد أقدم الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترامب عام 2019 على الاعتراف بالجولان جزءًا من إسرائيل، في خطوة أثارت انتقادات واسعة
وبعد الإطاحة بنظام الاسد البائد عام 2024، عززت إسرائيل وجودها العسكري في الجولان، وسيطرت على مواقع جديدة، بينها أعلى قمة في سوريا، جبل الشيخ، في توسّع وصفته دمشق بأنه عدوان جديد على السيادة السورية
وفي سياق متصل، أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو أن أي مسار تفاوضي مع سوريا يتطلب التزامًا واضحًا بإنشاء منطقة منزوعة السلاح تمتد من دمشق حتى خط الفصل في الجولان، وقال إن الاستعداد السوري لفهم الاحتياجات الأمنية لإسرائيل يمكن أن يمهّد لاتفاق مستقبلي، في إشارة إلى إمكانية فتح باب التفاوض شريطة تلبية المطالب الأمنية الإسرائيلية
