قضت المحكمة الجنائية التركية اليوم الأربعاء، بسجن رئيس بلدية إسطنبول المعارض أكرم إمام أوغلو عامين و7 أشهر
ومنعه من ممارسة العمل السياسي، وذلك بسبب إهانته مسؤولين ووصفهم بـ”الأغبياء”. وقالت ورويترز أن الحكم الصادر قد يمتد لأربع سنوات حسب القانون التركي.
وتعود القضية إلى تصريح صدر عن إمام أوغلو بعدما هزم مرشح حزب الرئيس رجب طيب إردوغان في انتخابات العام 2019.
وقال محاميه كمال بولات لفرانس برس هذا نهج مؤسف حيال الديمقراطية وسيادة القانون.
وأكد محاميه بأنه سيستأنف الحكم، وهو ما يعني أنه سيبقى في منصب رئيس البلدية لكنه بات مستبعداً من الانتخابات
الرئاسية المقررة في حزيران 2023.
ودعا رئيس بلدية اسطنبول أنصاره للتجمع في ميدان سراج هانة مقابل مبنى بلدية إسطنبول، وهي دعوة لاقت استجابة ملحوظة
من الاحزاب التي تدعم أكرم إمام أوغلو.
وكتب رئيس حزب التغيير في تركيا مصطفى ساريجول في حسابه الرسمي على تويتر أنها مسألة ديمقراطية وإرادة وطنية وسنكون في اسطنبول دعمًا لرئيس البلدية.
وقال كمال كيليجدار أوغلو، رئيس حزب الشعب الجمهوري في وقت سابق معلقًا على محاكمة إمام أوغلو، بالأماكن التي لا عدالة فيها، لا توجد حقوق إنسان أو ديمقراطية، عندما تأمرون القضاة بإصدار أحكامٍ وفق ما تريدون وليس وفقًا لضمائرهم، فأنتم تقضون على العدالة الآن، أمامهم تحد كبير هو أكرم إمام أوغلو، وهم منشغلون بكيفية أخذ كل الصلاحيات منه، ويغيرون القضاة، ويأتون بقضاة موالين لهم لإصدار أحكام.
نقول لهم، يجب اتخاذ القرارات وفق القانون، وليس قرارات سياسية وفق “تعليمات القصر الرئاسي.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ أكرم إمام أوغلو تولّى رئاسة بلدية إسطنبول بعد انتخابه للمنصب كعضو في حزب الشعب الجمهوري في الانتخابات المحلية التركية 2019.
